Montemiletto

Traces of prehistoric settlements show that the origins of the human presence in the area are very remote. Montemiletto rises around an imposing Medieval castle, the mansion of the families that governed during the centuries, such as the Della Leonessa and the De Tocco. In the last few years the commune has developed areas around the town with modern buildings. Monteaperto, a hamlet of Montemiletto, is known for its important cultural institutions.
