Sturno

The area was inhabited since Roman times and is characterized by intensely cultivated farmland, with very active farms which breed also sheep and goats. The landscape is very fascinating, with the Frigento mount and Ufita river. Worth visiting S.Michele Abbey, which keeps a 16th-century painting portraying Michael Archangel and the modern Our Lady of the Snow Chapel. Worth seeing also the 18th-century Palazzo Grella, with a very well-kept garden and the church of S.Domenico, which dates back to the second half of twentieth century.
