Bormida is a small town located 31 km of Savona, in Liguria, in the mountains between the summits of Settepani (1386 mt) and Ronco di Maglio (1108 m.)and thanks to its favorable position in the vicinity of Savona is a good starting point to visit the province and surroundings. Bormida can be reached taking the Autostrada dei A6 (E717) Torino-Savona, exit Altare, then following the SP38/Strada Provinciale Osiglia-Bormida-Melogno. Alternatively, from Finale Ligure there is the SP490 then the SP15 Strada Provinciale Carcare-Pallare-Bormida-Melogno. This itinerary is 25 km (about a half-hour driving).
There is no train station in Bormida; bus connections are available from Savona.

There is in the vicinity, 90 km away, the Genoa Cristoforo Colombo airport. There is also a smaller airport in Villanova d'Albenga. Turin airport is at a distance of 132 km.
