Ventimiglia Province of Imperia, Liguria (Ligurien) Region, Italy Ventimiglia, the ancient Roman Album Intimilium or Albintimilium), a frontier fortress, seaport and episcopal see, 94 miles West of Genoa by rail. It was a Roman municipium with an extensive territory, and of some importance under the Empire, but was plundered by the the army of Otho in AD 69.
