History
Although the existence dates back to the Roman times, the place was first documented in the 15th century. During the Venetian occupation, the locality was included with Mairano and in 1483, it passed to Quadra di Bagnolo. During the Brescian Republic (1797), the commune belonged to the Quadra of Torrelonga and under the Napoleonic passed under the direct administration of the Commune of Brescia. In 1814, the arrival of Austrians restored the previous commune. In 1881 during an administrative reform of the Kingdom of Italy, the commune was renamed San Zeno Naviglio.
