Lapedona Region Marche, Italy The territory is mostly hilly, with the exception of the frazione Valdaso, and comprised between the city of Fermo and the Aso river, and most of the inhabitants live in small settlements or contrade, named after churches, ancient farms or landmarks: Acquarello, Aso, Coste da Sole, Fonte Antonucci, Fonte Balzana, Madonna Bruna, Madonna Manù, Montepregnano, Monti, Piemarano, Saltareccio, San Girolamo, San Martino, San Michele, San Quirico, Santa Elisabetta. The historical center is still surrounded by walls with only two entrance gates.
