San Biase, Province Campobasso, Molise, Italy

The first record of the existence of this center go back to the Middle Ages, when it was a fiefdom of the Santangelo lords, who were later followed by Evoli, Stendardo, Filangieri, Di Sangro, and the De Blasiis were the last in power when feudalism was abolished in 1806. The earthquake of 1456 t killed a large part of the population, and in 1508 a colony of settlers from Croatia was brought here to cultivate the fields, and they integrated with the local population.
