Sant'Angelo Limosano, Province Campobasso, Molise, ItalyA very nice medieval borough, reached after passing through a beautiful pinewood, with narrow stairways leading to the top of the village, San'Angelo had a very famous lord, Clemenzia D'Angiņ, daughter of king Charles II Anjou and Mary from Hungary, who received the fiefdom in 1292, then married the Charles Valois, the brother of the French king, so that the fiefdom returned under royal jurisdiction. Among the most typical tradition there is on 2 August the feast of the Madonna delle Stelle with a procession to the sanctuary about one mile away from the center. A local dish is the "scattone", home-made pasta seasoned with wine.
