History
Mogliano was always a key communication center, being on the Terraglio road that connected the province capital to the lagoon. The area was plagued by unhealthy marshes, and since Roman times there were attempts to recover the lands. During the barbarian invasions there was further degradation of the marshes, since the population fled to the laggon islands, but with the benedictines in 996 the fields were again recovered for agriculture.
