Situated along the right bank of the Piave river and on the southern slopes of the Montello, an area celebrated for its wines but also stormed by battles during WW1, the little town has a flourishing industry of textiles and footwear. It seems also that monsignor Giovanni della Casa wrote his Renaissance classic the ”Il Galateo“ while staying at the local Abbey of Sant'Eustachio.
